A few weeks ago my sister brought her family to Utah to visit. During her visit she took her family to the humanitarian center. She wanted to have her kids see how service can benefit others. We both left there wanting to do more. So we were talking that we should try to do service more frequently. But sometimes we struggle with finding out way to serve. So we came up with the idea of doing big service ideas as a family and then post pictures on a common blog so we can see what everyone is doing. Thus the idea was created. My family is all over. I have a sister and mother here in Utah, my father and step-mom are in California, a sister in Washington, and a brother in Texas. I hope this will be a great way to bring us closer while serving others.
PS This isn't just for the Kunz family. If you want to involve friends in your community...they are welcome to join!!!
Welcome Family
"Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity. " --BuddhaHopefully through this website we can help teach our kids the importance of charity work. As a family hopefully we can grow closer while building character in our children and make a little difference in other peoples lives. I think everyone wants to serve, but don't exactly know what to do. Hopefully this will help with that process. My Vision This is how I see this working. I will research volenteer/charity work that can be done. Then post it on the blog (and probably send out a mass email). I will set dates and a timeline of when things should be done. Then you will send me pictures of your network participating in the service. So keep a camera or your camera phone handy. Send me an email helpers4humanity@yahoo.com I hope you will participate when you can!!!
